Since 1984
We have spent four decades shaping spaces around the way people live, gather and grow.
Steradian Architects is an architect-led design and design-build practice based in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, with a second studio in Greater Noida. Across four decades our work has moved between residences, institutions, hospitality and community buildings — always returning to the same questions of proportion, material and light.

Practice
Steradian Architects
Established in 1984, Steradian Architects is a practice rooted in a long-standing understanding of Indian climate, material and craft — and in the evolving ways people inhabit space today. We work across architecture, interiors and design-build delivery, led throughout by the architect's hand, from our studios in Moradabad and Greater Noida.

A steradian is the SI unit of solid angle — a measure of how completely a form is seen from a single point in space. We took the name in 2021, as a fair description of what we aim for in every room we make.
Approach
How We Work
- 01
Understand
We begin with people, climate and site — before a single line is drawn.
- 02
Design
Proportion, material, light and movement are developed together, not in sequence.
- 03
Build
Design intent is carried through to site — drawing by drawing, detail by detail.
- 04
Live
A building is only finished once it is lived in, gathered in, used.
